Southwestern Ontario News: A Swift Twitter Recap #4

Welcome to the fourth Swift Twitter Recap! It was another exciting week in the Twittersphere, with municipal elections taking place and everyone getting excited for Halloween. A good chunk of our Recap is thanks to Cisco, who was very active this week with regards to the #InternetofEverything.

We also feature news about how fibre-optic broadband is a critical municipal service, new smartphone apps and tech, more advancements in healthcare tech, and we got a glimpse of what the future of retail will be like in a brief video by @CiscoRetail. We would like to take this opportunity to once again congratulate Elgin County Library on receiving funding to open a makerspace at their Aylmer branch. It’s this kind of social and technological innovation and progress that proves that Southwestern Ontario is ready for ultra high speed broadband.
